Would you believe that a trio of brothers often referenced as “America’s Original Outlaws” actually helmed from Bucks County, Pennsylvania? We didn’t believe it either. But as self-proclaimed history buffs, we couldn’t refuse an offer from Envy Media Communications to contribute to their pilot for the History Channel about the infamous, “Doan Gang”. The week-long production had us exploring many of the trios original stomping grounds and dwellings as well as interactions with experts and family descendants. The centerpiece of the series was a vigorous expedition to exhume treasure believed to be strategically buried throughout Bucks County including one calculated locale, leading the small band of historians we were documenting on a feverish hunt. You’ll have to tune into the series to see how it all panned out. We’ll share updates once we have them.
